What is embroidery?

Embroidery machines use needles to punch through fabric and sew your choice of thread colors to create your logo or design. Each of our Tajima embroidery machines have 15 needles (colors) to sew even the most complex of designs.

Types of Embroidery

SHIRTS / FLAT ITEMS

Polo shirts, t-shirts, towels, baby blankets, pants, jerseys, jackets, biker jackets, tote bags, backpacks, and lots more.. Please contact us and let us know what you’d like embroidered.

CHEER / DANCE / TEAMS / GROUPS

We can personalize your shirts, bags, team gear, jackets, and other items with player names, numbers, etc.

Our embroidery software can automatically setup embroidery files to embroidery personalized items. There will be no additional digitizing fee if using a stock embroidery font for names and numbers.

We can even use your logo and combine it with personalized names and/or numbers.

CAPS AND HEADWEAR

Hats and other headwear are stitched differently that flat items due to the curved nature of the items. We use cap frames and cylinder frames to embroider these items. If you are having your logo digitized for flats and think you would need hats later, it’s cheapter to have both done at one time.

DIGITIZING

Digitizing is the process of converting your logo or artwork design to work with our embroidery machines. You can’t load a pdf or jpg and click ’embroider.’ Each embroidery file must be programmed with the ‘punch’ marks and sequence of sewing. Sometimes we can use existing .dst files, but prefer .emb due tot he ability to really tailor the settings to your desired garment. Our digitizing fee starts at $25. You will be quoted up front. Digitizing will be done at no charge for largers orders. Please note: the digitizing fee is a one time and we keep the file on hand for any future reorders. The file remains the property of Brazos Designs.t guaranteed. Testing / samples is recommended

EMBROIDERY THREAD

We have a set of standard colors for embroidery thread. If you are wanting a specific thread, you will be charged for the thread upon the initial order, but there will be no additional charge for additional use of that thread. For small orders, you will be charged for 2 spools (approx. $10 each), and for larger orders, 4 spools. For orders over 144, there will be no charge for the first ‘specific’ thread. We use Isacord as our primary thread, and Madeira as our secondary thread, all 40wt Poly.
